About Helambu Wiki
Helambu Wiki is a community-driven platform dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Helambu region in Nepal. Our mission is to crowdsource knowledge from locals, visitors, researchers, and anyone with a connection to this beautiful region.
Why Helambu?
The Helambu region, home to the Hyolmo people, possesses one of Nepal's richest and most unique cultural traditions. From ancient Buddhist monasteries to traditional stone architecture, from vibrant festivals to distinctive music and cuisine, Helambu's heritage is both deep and diverse.
Yet much of this knowledge exists only in oral traditions, scattered documents, and the memories of elder community members. This platform aims to gather, organize, and share this knowledge before it is lost.
