Tarkeghyang
Tarkeghyang (also spelled Tarkegyang) is the highest Hyolmo settlement in the Helambu region, situated at approximately 2,740 meters above sea level. It offers spectacular views of the Langtang range and is known for its well-preserved cultural traditions.
The Monastery
Tarkeghyang is renowned for its ancient gompa, one of the oldest in the Helambu region. The monastery was recently rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake but preserves many of its original features and artifacts.
